I've sketched and painted since I was a kid, and then spent 7 years producing technical drawings for a structural engineering company. I always had more of an interest in graphics than enginnering though, and that led me on to 3d modelling and texturing, which I self trained at. At a bit of a crossroads at the moment, having applied for degrees in digital model making, games design and multimedia, respectively. 3d is my passion, but as a lot of you other creative folks are well aware, you have to weigh up your ideal job with what work opportunities are actually out there.
I make the 3d models in Max and Maya and textures were done in photoshop. Sketches are done by hand, then cleaned up and coloured in photoshop.
Creative writing is my back-burner occupation. I mucked around with short storis for years (and it really was muck at first!) but in the last couple of years developed a style and got a strong story together that I'm hoping to get published. It sucks up what time I have free from drawing.
Its not easy, but I can't complain. I'm doing what I do best and like best, and that's something.
